TODD PIRO (CO-HOST): The murder rate in Mexico is at it's highest level in decades. A national survey recording more than 31,000 homicides last year alone. That is the highest total since record-keeping began back in 1997. The violence spilling across the border into Baja California. Another report finds the murder rate there surged from 192 in 2016, to 560 in 2017 as cartels clashed over drug trafficking routes.
