BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): I have to use one word to describe [House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep.] Devin Nunes [(R-CA)]: unflappable. Again, another straight day he's walking into a storm -- and as if he's in the library, just walking around, just saying, “Anybody have any books that I can borrow?” He just said, “Listen, I got information about the possible monitoring of Trump officials during the transition phase,” or was it during the election process? It was given to him by a whistleblower. He cannot get the paperwork delivered. I'm not sure why. The NSA is holding it up, and he cannot give out more details. But it didn't stop him from getting -- from having to absorb a lot of calls for him to step aside and recuse himself from this investigation.

STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): It's interesting. The Wall Street Journal has got a lead editorial today that says Devin Nunes should not resign, he's doing a good job. But if he steps down, so should [House Intelligence Committee ranking member [Rep.] Adam Schiff [(D-CA)], who has become such a hyper-partisan and has spread innuendo without evidence across the airwaves.

The Wall Street Journal also suggests that perhaps it sounds like the Trump transition team could have been targeted by something called reverse-targeting. In other words, they got a FISA order to watch the Russian ambassador just to see who in the Trump transition team might have contacted him. So effectively it was a trap, which is crazy.
