STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST) As the quick reaction force, we'd like you to react to an LA Times tweet regarding your new position. “The NRA just named one of the most infamous gun runners in the world to be its president.” So, as a former gun runner, how do you feel about that?
OLIVER NORTH (INCOMING NRA PRESIDENT): That's the kind of thing that's, by the way, gotten to be very successful. I'll give you another example. The folks who are doing the disinformation campaign, just on saying slanderous things like that about me, what they've come to do is starting asking questions of reporters to have them go and ask the NRA, “are you really missing $10 million out of your accounts? Is it true that the NRA has lost firearms?” Those are the kinds of things that, of course, our colleagues in the mainstream media are more than willing to ask. And the bottom line of it, it's a totally fictional story.
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Right. Alright --
NORTH: And I'm not even going to -- look, everybody knows what I did back in the 80's for our president.
DOOCY: It was Iran-Contra. You weren't a gun runner. Absolutely. Alright. And you're right, if people don't know this story, Google it because we're short on time.
