Two hours after Fox News’ Andrew Napolitano suggested former Attorney General Loretta Lynch “made law enforcement decisions for political purposes” regarding the investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email, President Donald Trump echoed the phrase in a tweet accusing her of breaking the law. In his tweet, Trump claimed that Lynch “gave Hillary Clinton a free pass and protection,” alleging that her actions were “Totally illegal!” Earlier this month, Trump repeated another claim Napolitano made on Fox & Friends in a tweet, claiming that “The big story is the ‘unmasking and surveillance’ of people that took place during the Obama Administration.”
Trump has repeatedly lauded Fox & Friends on Twitter. In February, Trump told Fox & Friends that his years of calling into the show may be why he’s president.
