BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): NFL ratings are down, 40 percent of people when asked say the reason I'm not watching is because Kaepernick is taking a knee and others continue to protest, even overseas, about this. When you see that in Texas, what do you think?

TIM GREEN: I think like everyone else who loves this country, when you see it first, I was upset. I said, wait a minute, you can't do that. And then I thought back to law school, and I thought about constitutional law. And I thought about, why do I love this country. We have these freedoms. We have the freedom of expression, and we have the 13th Amendment, where we expect people to be treated equally under the law. And so then I thought, well, as much as this disturbs me, he does have the right to do that. We have that right.

KILMEADE: Doesn't make it right.

GREEN: Yeah, it doesn't, but we have that right. So -- and I thought ultimately, what he and those kids, even though, again, it just hurts you to see it, but ultimately, they're trying to, you know, they're making a statement that people aren't being treated, in their opinion, equally under the law.
