From the May 4 edition of Fox Business' Varney & Co.:
STUART VARNEY (HOST): The Trump growth agenda of tax cuts and deregulation has almost doubled the rate of growth in our economy. OK, the first quarter a little disappointing, but overall we've got three percent growth and it's going up from there later this year. You've got a virtually fully employed economy and employers are scrounging around trying to find talent for the jobs that they've got available. I call that progress, and I call it directly the result of Trump's growth agenda.
DOUG SCHOEN: Well, if you ask people in polls they disagree. And when you look at the fact that the labor participation rate is the main reason why unemployment went under four percent, you get a decidedly mixed picture, Stuart.
VARNEY: The black unemployment rate, lowest ever recorded.
SCHOEN: It's terrific, but that does not make --
VARNEY: That has nothing to do with the tax cuts? Really?
SCHOEN: I think it's been trending down for a long time.
