On the June 8 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann named Fox News host Bill O'Reilly “winner” of his nightly “Worst Person in the World” segment for, as Olbermann noted, “reacting to the arrest in the abduction and murder of the Kansas teenager Kelsey Smith, saying, quote, 'This guy [who] is charged has a child and a wife. You know, like he's a white-bread guy. And we're all going, ”What is that?" ' " Media Matters for America noted O'Reilly's comments earlier that day. O'Reilly has frequently been cited during Olbermann's “Worst Person” segment, as Media Matters has documented (here, here, here, here, and here).
Additionally, Olbermann declared John MacArthur, pastor of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, “runner-up” for saying in a May 3 sermon, as Olbermann noted, “that because America has, quote, 'illicit sex, adultery, every form of immorality,' and, quote, 'you know a society has been abandoned by God when it celebrates lesbian sex,' therefore, quote, 'God would be just in any calamity that he brought on us,' including, quote, 'the destruction of an entire city.' ” Olbermann further noted that MacArthur's sermon had been broadcast “by those fine, tolerant folks who work for the Father Coughlin of the 21st century, [Focus on the Family founder and chairman] James Dobson.” Media Matters noted that Dobson aired MacArthur's comments on the June 7 edition of his Focus on the Family radio show.

Just let God speak for himself, pal.
And the winner, Bill-O. Speaking of celebrating lesbian sex, reacting to the arrest in the abduction and murder of the Kansas teenager Kelsey Smith, saying, quote, “This guy [who] is charged has a child and a wife. You know, like he's a white-bread guy. And we're all going, 'What is that?' ”
