After Fox CEO Lachlan Murdoch says remote work will go through Labor Day, Fox host calls for immediate return

On March 16, Fox Corp. CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced an extension of remote work for its employees during the COVID-19 pandemic through at least Labor Day, writing that “the health and safety of our workforce has remained my priority.“

A Fox host now says that Murdoch’s memo should be disregarded and hosts should immediately return to a shared studio to “send a message.”

The Five went socially distanced in December after host Juan Williams reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The network continues to broadcast conspiratorial coverage regarding the COVID-19 vaccine and basic public health precautions, even while the company has internally taken the deadly pandemic seriously.

Here is host Greg Gutfeld denouncing potential “legal BS” and declaring that it’s high time to get back into the studio.

GREG GUTFELD (HOST): We are hypocrites when we are giving our own advice on this, because all of us I believe have been vaccinated. Some of us have gotten COVID and been vaccinated which essentially makes you superhuman. Lecturing people on the science as we are sitting in our isolated boxes, is it really correct? I think that it’s like — we have to send a message. I mean, what message are we sending by being separate right now? I think it is time to return to the studio.

MARTHA MACCALLUM (FOX NEWS ANCHOR): There we go.

GUTFELD: And start seeing each other, looking at each other in the eye when we are talking so we know we are not interrupting each other. So we can actually — I feel like every day we are in a batting cage. And I would rather like to be passing the ball around. And we weigh the benefits and the risks so — let's get back in the studio. There is no science. We have the vaccines and we have the rapid testing. There is no reason for us to be doing this all the time, unless it's legal BS. Which is probably the case for everything in life. We are controlled by lawyers.
