From the April 15 edition of Fox News' America's Newsroom:
SANDRA SMITH (CO-ANCHOR): Mark, we hear from you and we've seen it through op-eds that you have penned in the wake of what is happening at our border, that this is a breaking point. You said we're beyond that at this point. And you further make the case that walls work. And that's not the first time that you said that. You talked about building more fencing back in 2016. So why do you think that the president is facing so much resistance on his policies at our southern border?
MARK MORGAN (FORMER BORDER PATROL CHIEF): You know, this is a tough one for me to answer because I'm a law enforcement guy. And I don't want to get into the political arena but I can tell you, I know this, I've worked this from two different agencies. I've worked the gangs, I've worked the cartels, I've worked the border. And it just does not make sense to me why they are not doing what they need to do and listen to the experts. My only conclusion is it's absolutely identity politics.
