Fox News host Jeanine Pirro recently appeared on a podcast hosted by Michael Scheuer, a virulent antisemite who has called for the assassinations of President Biden, Vice President Harris, the Obamas, and “most” of the media. During the interview, Scheuer told Pirro that prior elections were “rigged” and he thanks God that “the Second Amendment remains in the Constitution because I don't know how else to take care of these vermin.”
Fox News recently settled a defamation lawsuit regarding the election lies it told about Dominion Voting Systems. Fox now faces a lawsuit from voting technology company Smartmatic regarding similar lies. Pirro’s election conspiracy theories have been a part of both lawsuits.
Scheuer is an ex-CIA intelligence officer and former Fox News regular who has become known for openly calling for the assassinations of countless people in the United States. National security reporter Spencer Ackerman wrote in the Daily Beast in 2020 that Scheuer “has spent the summer calling for the slaughter of his fellow Americans,” including by stating on his podcast that “the only thing I would be upset about if it came to war is that not enough Democrats would get killed.”
Media Matters examined some of his more recent writings and found numerous calls for violence:
- Scheuer wrote: “Fauci, Gates, Birx, the Bidens, Harris, the Clintons, the Obamas, the Bushes, and most media are all direct descendants of Mao Tse Tung, Josef Stalin, Pol Pot, Margaret Sanger, Adolph Hitler, and all UN leaders. … It is time to rid the United States of these depraved, murdering tyrants and their allies by any means that will permanently terminate their ability to harm anyone. Praise God for the 450 million firearms now in the hands of the increasingly poisoned and persecuted citizenry.”
- Scheuer urged the “assassination” of George Soros, writing that if Israel refuses to kill him for the United States, the U.S. Marines should.
- Scheuer suggested that Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt will get “retribution” for his support of Soros, writing: “Come retribution … and it is, God willing, coming soon.”
- Scheuer wrote: “How much better would all of us be today, if the U.S. Air Force had staged simultaneous bombing strikes on the WEF’s [the World Economic Forum’s] Davos Conference and the UN just as the last WEF meeting was occurring, with follow-on Warthog raids to make sure as few as possible of the gangsters were left alive amongst the rubble.”
Scheuer is also a virulent antisemite. He’s written:
- “Jewish-Americans, as whole, are unreliable and increasingly anti-American citizens.” [Link]
- “Jewish-Americans are opting out of the American republic and are part of the governing elite that – via the Wuhan Flu and Climate Change – are determined to make America into fascist state.” [Link]
- “The eagerness of Jewish-Americans leaders to be hitmen, racists, anti-Americans, and propagandists for Biden’s fascists is getting old and, frankly, downright annoying.” [Link]
- “Recent events suggest that, at least in the case of Jewish-Americans, they are hated and attacked because their leaders are virulent haters of America, its traditions, its dominant faith, its conservative predilections, and its Constitution.” [Link]
- “In 2022, however, one might say that the myth and mask of Jewish-American loyalty to the republic has slipped from face to floor.” [Link]
- “It seems that many Jewish-Americans and most of their leaders simply hate the United States and its continued existence as a constitutional republic. Is it truthfully surprising that such an intense and easily recognizable hatred should be returned in kind by those on whom it is focused and exercised?” [Link]
Scheuer is also a QAnon conspiracy theorist who wrote that Democrats “are angry, obsessed, and terrified with Q because they know he is the genuine and truthful harbinger of the criminal, treasonous, and anti-human revelations that will seal their well-merited and hopefully painful doom.” (Pirro has also appeared on QAnon-supporting programs during her media tour.)
Semafor’s Max Tani reported last month that Fox News has “severely limited Pirro’s promotional appearances by strongly discouraging her from appearing at multiple conservative religious and political events.” But going on Scheuer’s podcast Two Mikes is apparently fine, as the Fox News host did for nearly 20 minutes on July 3 to promote her book, at one point complaining about “Soros-funded prosecutors.”
Toward the end of the interview, Scheuer said that the 2024 election won’t make “any difference” since 2020 and 2022 “were rigged … without question.” He then told her: “What happens then when things don't change? I think, you know, I praise God every night that the Second Amendment remains in the Constitution because I don't know how else to take care of these vermin.”
Pirro replied: “Well, obviously you know we're not promoting vigilantism, but in the end, at least we know now what we're confronting. You know, America was a little naive. It was Donald Trump who first introduced us to the concept of fake news. We didn't even know what that meant. But now we know that not all the news is accurate. Now we know that people who talk out of both sides of their mouths, you know, can't be believed.”
Shortly afterward, Pirro said she had another interview to get to and ended by stating, “I really appreciate being with you guys. Thank you.”
