Nationally syndicated radio host and author Michael Reagan, who is slated to speak at the opening night of the Republican National Convention in New York on August 30, spoke with an anti-Bush caller on the August 18 broadcast of The Michael Reagan Show:

REAGAN: Do you trust John Kerry to do a different job than what's going on right now?

CALLER: You know what? I cannot stand the thought of John Kerry.

REAGAN: Well, yeah, but -- but -- but --

CALLER: But Bush has repulsed me so badly --

REAGAN: But wait a minute, [caller's name], so you're going to vote for Kerry?

CALLER: No, I have decided to sit this one out.

REAGAN: Well, that's stupid. Then you don't deserve to bitch. You do not deserve to bitch. If you don't vote, you don't deserve to even call! I mean, people that don't vote are voting.

CALLER: Then I'm voting for Kerry, because of the war issue.

REAGAN: You're going to vote for Kerry, and I'm asking you, what is he going to do differently? What is he going to do differently?

CALLER: My personal feeling is, I think we need a change in this country, I think Bush has mismanaged it -- just because of the borders and going into Iraq too fast. So I will vote, I will vote, that wasn't a --

REAGAN: And John Kerry's going to change the border issue?

CALLER: You know, he may not fix it for me, but if not I will vote Republican in 2008 and give him his fair -- give him a shot.

REAGAN: Well, I hope you're alive in 2008. Let's go to [caller's name] in Colorado Springs.
