Glenn Beck Fails Bible Study

While launching into an impassioned defense of food storage, Glenn Beck directed his viewers toward a book that he said has “a lot of fascinating history” -- the Bible. But in true Beck fashion, his version of Biblical history was deeply factually deficient:

I was reading this weekend about one of Isaac's favorite sons, Joseph. And Joseph is the one - I think they did a movie and he was in a technicolor dream coat. Let me start after he's taken by his brothers, and then he's sold into slavery, and he ends up in a prison in Egypt.

But Joseph was not one of Isaac's sons. He was a son of Jacob. Jacob, who an angel renamed Israel, was a son of Isaac.

That's true in the musical, too.

Maybe this is why Fox News' Roger Ailes reportedly told Beck to tone down the religion.
