Discussing immigration reform, Boyles assailed “butt boys and bendovers”

During his May 1 broadcast, 630 KHOW-AM host Peter Boyles railed against people who support immigration rights and comprehensive immigration reform, denouncing them as “butt boys and bendovers for just about anything and everything that illegals ... and the people who carry their water want.”

After telling listeners he had been warned that an attempt is under way to “Imus[]” his 630 KHOW-AM show, host Peter Boyles on May 1 smeared people whose views on immigration reform differ from his, proclaiming, "[P]eople turn literally into butt boys and bendovers for just about anything and everything that illegals and ... the people who carry their water want." Boyles also targeted President Bush, Gov. Bill Ritter (D), and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper (D), baselessly asserting that they “are gonna do everything that they can ... to allow the illegals not to have to adapt.”

Later on the program, Boyles' frequent guest and KRLA talk show host Terry Anderson spoke about the immigration rallies occurring in Los Angeles and the city's decision to bus students who attended the rallies back to school, stating, “I wouldn't give a damn if they all get run over in the streets when they get out there and start protesting.”

Referring to city officials and other public figures who urged students to attend school rather than the rallies, Anderson also remarked, “Now, they know these kids are not going to stay in school, Pete. They know they're not gonna stay. So what do they do? They are bringing hundreds of city-owned school buses to the downtown area ... to make sure that these little brats get bused back to the school.” Yet as the Los Angeles Times reported regarding the march:

[L]ast year's protests were emotionally fueled by students, communicating by phone and text messages, and who left their classes to clog roads. This year, city, school district and church leaders urged students to stay in school, and the pleas seemed to have been heeded.

From the May 1 broadcast of 630 KHOW-AM's The Peter Boyles Show:

BOYLES: It -- it was clear to me yesterday -- I was working on -- I'm reading this book on terrorism and the life cycle, and the phone rings -- and I keep the phone with me now, and talking to some, this other friend who was -- after, after the warning, the phone call that I got last, on Saturday about -- or Sunday, rather, it was -- on the “Imusing” of the morning show on 630 KHOW. And I, I came to this moment, and I said to myself, you know what? Watching all of these people turn literally into butt boys and bendovers for just about anything and everything that illegals and their -- and the people who carry their water want. And I realized, then I actually went home and wrote it down, that the way that our government operates -- and the worst of the worst is that George W. Bush, down to “Tax” Ritter, down to Hickenlooper -- that they, they are gonna do everything that they can use -- all the power that they can use on the state level, city level, on a national, federal level, to allow the illegals not to have to adapt. The illegals will not adapt, don't want to adapt, and in fact don't have to. There is media for the illegals; there are health-care offers; there are don -- educational offers -- all these things.

ANDERSON: Let me tell you what they're doin' here. This is, this is outrageous. They are saying - that, that our mayor, “Reconquista” [Los Angeles Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa] -- he got up and said yesterday, “Whoa, stay in school” --

BOYLES: Yeah, I saw that.

ANDERSON: -- “we want you to stay in school.” And, and Cardinal Baloney [Cardinal Roger Mahony] --

BOYLES: Yeah.

ANDERSON: Mahony, he gets up and says, “Oh yeah, we want you to stay in school, but there will be rallies after school you can go to.” Now, they know these kids are not going to stay in school, Pete. They know they're not gonna stay. So what do they do? They are bringing hundreds of city-owned school buses to the downtown area where the, where the, where the march is gonna be to make sure that these little brats get bused back to the school where they're supposed to be -- even though they're beggin' 'em not to leave school, they want to make sure they get bused back so they'll be safe. Let me tell you what I care about them being safe: I wouldn't give a damn if they all get run over in the streets when they get out there and start protesting, getting on the freeway on-ramps, making people swerve around 'em almost having accidents like last time. We are so concerned about the rights of these kids and not concerned about the rights of the drivers, the people going back and forth to work. We don't care about anything. We want these little -- these little punks to be safe. Give me a break.
