MICHAEL JACO (HOST): I know that a lot of sheriffs are going to be helping the border agents and ICE and so forth going forward. I think that's going to be fantastic. I know there's already -- Tom [Homan] has talked about how this has already started to ramp up. What are you seeing along those lines now?

RICHARD MACK (FOUNDER OF CONSTITUTIONAL SHERIFFS AND PEACE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION): Well, we were the ones pushing that.

JACO: Nice.

MACK: And we still are. No question. And I've had some conversations with Tom Homan about this.

JACO: Excellent.

MACK: And I've met him before. And so, yeah, his number is on my phone. And -- but the thing of it is, I don't believe that the deportation setup, the way it's been announced, is even constitutional. But we haven't seen the plan yet, so I'm not gonna get too far ahead of myself.

JACO: Okay.

MACK: The only place that the military could be used lawfully would be at the border.

JACO: Right.

MACK: K? We have jurisdiction at the border. The federal government is supposed to protect our borders from invasion. So go and stop the invading, okay? And first of all, and just logically, we need to stop the bleeding before we start sending people back. If they're just people sending people in and it's just spinning our wheels, what good is that going to do? So the first assignment, according to my way of thinking, is they've got to shut the border down. And I mean stop all immigration. A moratorium on all immigration. If you're standing in line right now, I'm sorry, but they need to delay that. I don't care where you're from, what you're doing, unless you've got all the paperwork, dude, and you just gotta get signed and immigration let you in, I might go on with that. And I know this isn't my decision, but this is what I highly recommend.
