LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): The reason the left has antifa amnesia and wants you to ignore its pattern of anarchy is that they have a hand in it. And what do I mean?
Three years ago, back in February 2017, The New York Post detailed some of the first steps in organizing, quote, "The resistance to President Trump," courtesy of Barack Obama and his wing man Eric Holder. The post reporting, quote, "The little-known but well-funded protesting arm had beefed up staff and ramped up recruitment of young, liberal activists. Determined to salvage Obama's legacy, it's drawing battle lines on immigration, Obamacare, race relations and climate change."
Now, in the years following that group, Organizing for Action, it had held thousands of events and trained more than 60,000 activists in what it calls, quote, "Effective conversations, issue advocacy, community organizing, and voter contact best practices." Sounds okay, right?
Well, the organizational heft that sprung out from the OFA like-minded groups has provided today's radicals with logistical road maps and even legitimacy.
Now just yesterday Hillary Clinton's former campaign spokesman Brian Fallon and even John legend tweeted out the message "defund the police," which is one of the goals of antifa's campaign of terror.
Now two days ago, a former Intel official in the Obama administration paid $250,000 to bail out, quote, "Her best friend who was arrested for allegedly throwing a molotov cocktail into an NYPD cop car." Now, remember the antifa radical who died firebombing an ICE facility in Tacoma last year? Well, somewhere along the way what started off as the resistance took a nefarious turn.
