LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): So getting back to Seth Rich. Julian Assange suggested in a sit-down interview, remember Assange is -- he's basically on the run. He's living in an embassy because he can't -- they'll throw him in jail if he -- with an interview with this Dutch television reporter in this program called Nieuwsuur. He suggested that Seth Rich -- at least he didn't disabuse anyone of the notion -- that Seth Rich, who was murdered on July 8 under very curious circumstances, may have been involved in releasing these DNC emails to WikiLeaks.

JULIAN ASSANGE: Whistleblowers go to significant efforts to get us material, and often very significant risks. There's a 27-year-old who works for the DNC, who was shot in the back, murdered just two weeks ago for unknown reasons as he was walking down the street in Washington. So --
EELCO BOSCH VAN ROSENTHAL: That was just a robbery I believe. Wasn't it?
ASSANGE: No. There's no finding.
VAN ROSENTHAL: What are you suggesting?
ASSANGE: I'm suggesting that our sources take risks. And they become concerned to see things occurring like that.
[END AUDIO]
INGRAHAM: We have a murdered DNC staffer. We have DNC leaks of emails. And we had a concerted effort and I would say ala the effort that we saw with Susan Rice and the Benghazi narrative, that was false, to sell the story to a willing and compliant media that it was Russia that hacked into the DNC email system. That it was Russia maybe even coordinating with Donald Trump, who was seeking to exploit this little problem that the DNC now has, which is that they were targeting Bernie Sanders and seeking to exploit issues such as his Judaism and use that against him.
