Laura Ingraham says she could have won the Virginia gubernatorial race

Ingraham, who previously worried about mosques in northern Virginia, says the Muslim community would have rallied around her fiscal policies

From the November 8 edition of Courtside Entertainment Group's The Laura Ingraham Show:

LAURA INGRAHAM (HOST): I toyed with the idea of running against [Virginia Democratic Sen. Tim] Kaine for the Senate, and even people were talking to me about running for governor because I think I'd enjoy governor more than Senate. But part of the reason I decided “eh, it's not right for me,” I haven't lived long enough in Virginia. I lived in Virginia when I first came here, the area, in 1987. And I lived in Charlottesville when I was in law school, and I live in Virginia now. But I didn't live long enough in Virginia and I think that hurts.

INGRAHAM: I would have done better than [Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed] Gillespie though, I can tell you that. I might have still been able to beat [Governor-elect Ralph] Northam. It would have been tough, but I would have done better than Gillespie. I would have gone everywhere. I would have gone into the Muslim community and said, “Look, do you want money in your pocket or not? You can think Trump's the worst person, you have money in your pocket.”
