The New York Jets did not think enough of running back Thomas Jones to keep him on the team without a pay cut. So he went to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Apparently the Jets were thankful enough for his three years of service to make their appreciation public. The team took out a full-page ad Sunday in the Kansas City Star.

The ad stated Jones “Embodies Toughness, Dedication and Leadership.”

But not enough to receive the same pay.
