The wife of Sen. Scott Brown, who is a television reporter in Boston, has gotten a job with a Washington, D.C., station, according to the Boston Herald. Gail Huff will work for local station WJLA.
“Calling it one of the 'most difficult' decisions she's ever made, Huff said she wants to spend more time with her husband and two daughters,” the Herald writes. “She plans to split her time between the nation's capital and Wrentham, she said in a statement released by Channel 5 last night.”
“This has been one of the most difficult personal or professional decisions I have ever made, but it is the right one for me, because it enables me to spend more time with my husband and family,” Huff said in the story. “While I will miss my co-workers and loyal viewers in New England, I look forward to this stage in my career.”
The story added that: “ABC affiliate WJLA-TV has hired Huff as a special projects reporter to cover medical, consumer and investigative stories but no politics, according to a source close to the negotiations. Huff inked a multiyear deal, plans to start at the station around Labor Day and will work three days a week, the source said.”
