Newsbusters' Mike Sargent pretends that George W. Bush would have won a statewide Florida recount in 2000.

In fact, the very study on which Sargent bases that claim found that Al Gore would have won had there been a full statewide recount. As the Washington Post put it: “An examination of uncounted ballots throughout Florida found enough where voter intent was clear to give Gore the narrowest of margins.”
