MICHAEL KNOWLES (HOST): They don't need to be 51st state. They can just be a territory. They can be snowy Puerto Ricans. It's fine. The — it's — no they — we can control them, but they don't have any vote.
Maybe we could go further. Maybe we could just use them as a tax base. You know? They'll be like the helots of our civilization. How about that.
Someone posted on social media yesterday and said, why are we talking about Greenland? We need to be talking about how the 1% don't pay their fair share of taxes. Well, you're — you gotta expand your imagination, man. What if the Greenlanders just pay all of our taxes? Kind of serfs, or something. Well, now the Canadians, why don't they do that? Yeah. But those Canadians have a lot to pay for up in America's evil top hat. They've done a lot of bad things. At least that's the starting point of our negotiation. Isn't that — I think that's the art of the deal.
