The New York Times once again honored the dead in Afghanistan with a two-page spread Wednesday offering photos and descriptions of the 1,000-plus military staffers who have died there in the latest military offensive.
The newspaper, which has done such “Faces of the Dead” tributes before for Iraq casualties, also posted a great online gallery honoring the dead. The Web data base allows readers to look up soldiers by name, hometown or state.
A great approach as many news outlets seem to undercover the continued deaths of service members overseas.
