TIM MURTAUGH (GUEST): Well, I think the president -- what the former president, what he said just there about how this is a political prosecution. I mean, I think to me that's pretty obvious that when thinking about this, I think Americans should ask themselves, the first question is, would this be happening if he were not running for president again? And I think the obvious answer to that is no. None of this would be happening, would not be indicted three times and headed towards the fourth one -- that would not be happening. But, politically what's going on here -- imagine being one of his GOP opponents in this primary. Now, again for the third time for the next few days, not a one of them can break through and talk about what they want to talk about. They're going to be forced to talk about, yet again, Donald Trump. And during the course of all this, almost all of them, except for the ones who openly attack him like Chris Christie and Mike Pence -- sort of has his own lane because he had a role on January 6th in the Congress -- but everyone else has to issue statements of support in some way. Or, at the very least, attack the people who are attacking Trump, which is also support. And if you are in the pack that is chasing Donald Trump in the Republican primary, how can you possibly catch him if you have to stick up for him all the time? And then if you're Joe Biden -- I was there in 2020. I was the comms director on the Trump campaign. There was never a national poll that showed Donald Trump beating Joe Biden. Not one. Zero. So far this year, in just the last two weeks, there have been three national polls that show Donald Trump beating Joe Biden. That never happened in 2020.
CARLA SANDS (GUEST): Tim, he's beating him by seven points. Some polls say even higher. He's going to beat Joe Biden in 2024. And, in my opinion and a lot of other people's opinions, the primary is over. I mean, these other folks are mostly good folks, and I understand that they're -- you know, they want to have a platform. It's, you know, he took all the oxygen out of the room in 2020. But the fact is that most Republicans support Donald J. Trump and this is a political persecution of the sitting president going after his political rival.
