BIANCA DE LA GARZA (HOST): The threat to democracy truly is the people in power. No doubt, the Democrats. And they've also been covering up for Joe Biden's mental cognitive issues, putting our nation, as now many Americans have realized since last Thursday, in a very perilous situation, Thane.
THANE ROSENBAUM (GUEST): Bianca, I actually think the Supreme Court was going beyond even this case. I think they were saying, you know what? We read the newspapers, we know about all these cases, and we're troubled by them. We're troubled by the political dimensions of them, that they may be political in origins and not legal. Remember going back to the Founding Fathers, there was a choice — could George Washington be president of the United States or King of the United States? They didn't want him to be the king, but they sort of did, which meant that they said we understand that there's three branches of government, but we believe that the chief executive has a lot of power, and we want him to have a lot of power. And I think this is sort of bringing it back down to say he's not the king, but he sort of is the king, and you have to give him leeway to do the kinds of things that you might think is nasty.
