Newsmax host says new Marvel series Agatha All Along is a “recruiting video” for gay people

CHRIS PLANTE (HOST): Seems to be, kind of, a single topic thing there. The stars of the new Marvel series on Disney Plus -- you know, the channel for children -- called Agatha All Along, flaunting and flailing with joy that the show is the gayest Marvel series ever, as opposed to previous somewhat gay Marvel series, I guess. Actor Joe Locke -- Joe Locke says that the show is proof that the Marvel Universe isn't just for straight men anymore. I hadn't really been concerned about that myself, but you know, this comes up Jason from time to time, and it's again, it's the kids, it's we're targeting the kids, and it's the gayest thing, and it's, you know, it's a recruiting video, I think.
JASON NICHOLS (CO-HOST): Yeah, I don't know, I haven't seen it, but I can say that, you know, gay people do exist, so we don't need to act like --
PLANTE: We knew that.
NICHOLS: Don't exist. I'm glad you knew that. Yeah. You don't have to act like they don't exist in film. I don't know exactly what they mean. I thought he was saying it in jest, that, you know, it's the gayest film ever or whatever. But, you know, I think if it's inappropriate for children, then they should make sure that people know that it's inappropriate for children.
PLNATE: Well, once again, you know, we've seen it in the schools and the books and the libraries and the gender queer and the graphic novels, and it's always the children. Nobody cares, you know, gay people have been in film, everybody knows it, and television for decades and generations, but it's all always the kids.
MERCEDES SCHLAPP (CO-HOST): It's shocking to me that Disney, this obsession with sexuality and sex, just children in general, and then putting that in front of the children, and then the parents have to protect the children from saying, wait a second, you can't watch this, although it is Disney Plus. I mean, it's just sick. Go back to storytelling, go back to the innocence of children. That's really where they should focus on. It's where their audience is. Obviously, they're more focused about men and, you know, gay men and straight men versus trying to really basically, you know, help in giving good content to children.
