Conservative media are outraged over news that a woman will appear on the newly designed $10 bill, calling the decision “moronic,” a disgrace," and even claiming it was an effort by President Obama to “make up for the Trail of Tears.”

Reuters: New $10 Bill To Feature A Woman. On June 17, the Treasury Department announced that the next generation $10 currency note will feature “a woman who has contributed to and represents the values of American democracy.” According to Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, the design, set to be released in 2020 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote, will still feature Alexander Hamilton on the bill in some way.
