After announcing that author David Limbaugh would be on during the second hour, Rush's guest host Douglas Urbanski mocked Jimmy Carter despite his successful efforts at securing the release of an American citizen held in North Korea. Carter, Urbanski said, arrived on one of the “two days out of every decade” when leader Kim Jong Il traveled outside of his home country. Urbanski explained that he would be referring to Obama as “wildly unpopular” and “embattled” throughout the show, saying that the terminology was justified by polling data. Urbanski claimed that President Obama “seems apparently to thrive on provocation, on division.” Discussing a proposed Islamic cultural center in Manhattan, Urbanski asked, “Would it be inflammatory to call the mosque a 'murder mosque' if it's there on Ground Zero?” He also hoped an “enterprising reporter” would one day ask Obama what language he uses to communicate with the Saudi King.
Urbanski hosted David Limbaugh during for the bulk of the second hour. The pair discussed D. Limbaugh's recent book, Crimes Against Liberty, and took callers. Urbanski praised D. Limbaugh's book as accessible and exhaustively researched, telling callers to buy multiple copies to give to friends and begin debates. D. Limbaugh said that the mainstream media sugarcoat how dishonest Obama is, and that the president has a God complex. D. Limbaugh also claimed that the left wants to regulate internet content. Urbanski would later claim that the left seeks to censor conservative views and campus speech, adding, “They would like to destroy talk radio.”
Urbanski again mocked Carter in the third hour, saying that only Carter “could bungle this” since “Kim Jong Il doesn't travel.” Citing reports that Ford beat Wall Street expecations, Urbanski called it “profound” that buyers preferred a company without “Obama money.” Urbanski dedicated several minutes in the third hour to cataloging what voters wanted from Obama, and corresponding ways in which the president supposedly fell short. Urbanski ended the show by calling the left “arrogant” and saying that they would lob charges of racism and Islamophobia at anyone with whom they disagreed.
