On December 30, 2020, three purported “experts” told a Georgia Senate Judicial Subcommittee that they had evidence proving that more than 30,000 votes cast for President Donald Trump were removed from his total. More than 12,000 of those, they claimed, were given to Joe Biden. The claims received widespread attention on January 2, 2021, when they were amplified by far-right The Epoch Times and its affiliated NTD YouTube channel. The following day, The Gateway Pundit amplified the claims as well. There have been multiple recounts in Georgia, including by hand of paper receipts, and claims such as this have been widely rejected; Joe Biden's win in the state has been certified.
As The Epoch Times noted, the “experts” in question were a team led by Lynda McLaughlin. The Epoch Times failed to mention that she is Sean Hannity's radio producer.
McLaughlin did not mention Hannity in introducing herself while beginning her presentation, saying only that she had a background in “politics and media.”
Returning to the air on January 4 following a holiday break, Hannity himself talked up this data as supposed proof that the election was stolen.
