From the January 1, 2020 edition of Premiere Radio's The Sean Hannity Show:

CALLER: Talking about the people leaving states. You know moving to other low tax states, but what they don't see there, what they're not talking about is the genius of Trump's tax plan. He put a friggin termite in his tax plan. Because these liberal Democrats have been constructing these towns and states and jurisdictions for hundreds of years and people were just buying into the liberal policies because they didn't cost them anything.

...

Well when Trump removed that federal income tax deduction, for the layman out there, the government needs say $100 bucks a year from the country that's $2 a state, well California, New York, New Jersey, and Illinois were able to deduct the amount they were supposed to send the government because of their high taxes in their state.

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Listen, I am paying more in taxes because of the Trump tax plan, you wanna know why?

CALLER: Yes, because you can't deduct it.

HANNITY: I don't have the deduction of the 10% income tax of New York state, the 3% city income tax, the second-highest property tax county in the country, I don't have that. But I'll tell you this: it is the right, fair thing to do. Why would states be rewarded for hiring or electing these liberal politicians that tax them to death, they get a benefit that nobody else got, and let me tell you something that's fundamentally unfair, that is fundamentally unjust. I didn't deserve that cut when people in Florida and Texas that were smart enough to elect good governors and don't have state income taxes they don't get that same benefit that I was getting.
