CALLER: Here's my concern. I was watching the convention, and I truly do not understand the pick of JD Vance specifically because, in my opinion, he adds absolutely nothing to the ticket. I am an African American man, and you would be surprised, but you've seen the polling of how many African Americans are religious enchants and with the Democratic Party.
Now we don't want to elect off of, you know, genotype or phenotype or even just color, but from Tim Scott to Byron Donalds, even Tulsi Gabbard, Trump has a unique opportunity to expand the base, but to really deal a knockout blow to these crazy doggone liberals and Democrats.
And JD Vance is over here riffing out the mouth where his previous comments or even current comments acting like he's Trump. You're not Trump. You don't have the cachet.
SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Let me just let your heart not be troubled in this way. And, actually, I agree with Paul Begala, usually vice presidents don't impact elections. This election is going to be about Donald Trump versus Kamala Harris. And I am pretty much convinced that the honeymoon has stalled the more that people learn about Kamala Harris.
I thought it would last a lot longer. And I think it's beginning to stall because I think people hearing her in her own words, and we take a little bit of credit for getting this started. I think people, the more they become aware of her -- and it's really a matter of philosophical and ideological, you know, governing philosophies.
