Steve Bannon says it's no coincidence that New York City was hit with an earthquake while he was interviewing a woman convicted of January 6 misdemeanors

Bannon: “When we started the interview with the great-grandmother who's now up for sentencing for three years in federal prison for praying in the Capitol, that's when an earthquake hit New York City. Just saying.”

STEVE BANNON (HOST): There are no conspiracies here in the War Room, we don't believe in them, but there's also no coincidences. I'm just saying if you check the timing that when we started the interview with the great-grandmother who's now up for sentencing for three years in federal prison for praying in the Capitol, that's when an earthquake hit New York City. Just saying. Letitia James should take notes, Alvin Bragg should take notes. There are no coincidences. I think the timing works out perfectly.

Earlier in the show, Bannon had interviewed January 6 defendant Rebecca Lavrenz. The Colorado Springs Gazette reported about her conviction in federal court of four federal misdemeanor charges:

After a lengthy deliberation that’s been rare for Capitol breach cases, Falcon resident Rebecca Lavrenz, known on social media as the “J6 Praying Grandma,” was convicted on all four federal misdemeanor charges for her participation in the Jan. 6, 2021, protest of the 2020 presidential election results in Washington, D.C.

The trial began March 25 in federal district court in the District of Columbia and ended after nearly 26 hours of deliberation, a 12-member jury found Lavrenz guilty of entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a capitol building, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a capitol.

The 71-year-old great grandmother and owner of a bed-and-breakfast business where she lives about 14 miles northeast of Colorado Springs could be sentenced to up to a year in prison and ordered to pay fines of more than $200,000, which excludes legal fees.

She will be sentenced Aug. 12.
