Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon is expected to be held in contempt of Congress after he refused to cooperate with the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack at the U.S. Capitol. Instead of complying, Bannon is selling his followers various holiday gifts on his podcast, War Room: Pandemic

Viewers might consider thinking twice before buying anything from Bannon, who was arrested for fraud by postal workers on his shady billionaire benefactor’s yacht last year. The Department of Justice indicted Bannon after he allegedly defrauded “hundreds of thousands of donors” through his We Build The Wall scheme, a crowdfunding campaign that was purportedly going to build a wall on the Southern border. If history is any indication, he is not a trustworthy salesman.

Here are the holiday gifts Bannon is hawking instead of complying with the House committee investigation:

On October 7, Bannon promoted conspiracy theorist and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell’s “FIX 2020 FIRST” and “HELP SAVE OUR COUNTRY!” yard signs. Bannon proclaimed, “You're going to want to give the signs as Christmas gifts.”

During the October 16 edition of his podcast, Bannon used the current supply chain shortage as a reason viewers should buy pillows from Lindell. He claimed that customers will not see supply side “logistics problems” with MyPillow.

Bannon then suggested viewers buy “gifts for the family and for relatives and friends” because “you can't go wrong with MyPillow.”

On October 18, Bannon hosted James Golden, former producer for right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh. During the interview, Bannon promoted Golden’s book and told his audience that “you're going to want to get multiple copies” because “this is one of the books you want to give at Christmas” and it will be “a blockbuster.”

On October 19, Bannon interviewed conservative singer-songwriter Lee Greenwood to discuss his “God Bless the USA” Bible. This book is a King James Bible that includes lyrics to Greenwood’s song God Bless The USA, as well as the text of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Bannon confidently told his audience Greenwood’s book “is a very profound gift you could give.”

As CNN explained, Bannon’s expected contempt charge is an important step in the House committee investigation, with the looming possibility of the former adviser’s imprisonment marking “a critical milestone in the investigation as the panel hopes even the remote threat of jail time inspires more Trump-aligned witnesses to cooperate.”
