STEVE DEACE (HOST): The idea that the abortion issue is costing the right elections is just simply patently not true. So before I even attempt to prick your conscience morally -- and believe me in a few minutes, I will -- but before we even get there, let's just look at basic data. Since Roe vs Wade, every president that won the cath -- every presidential candidate that won the Catholic vote has won the presidential election, with one exception. And that was the recall, the Florida recall election of 2020 when a lot of things we had not seen happen in America in more than a century, like someone winning -- losing the popular vote but winning the electoral college, a lot of things that were unprecedented in our modern elections occurred. And even then, Al Gore won it by the absolute slimmest of margins.

You have been told that the 2022 midterms were lost because this massive influx of single women, bloodthirsty to kill their children more than ever after what happened with Dobbs, turned out in droves for Democrats. Here's the thing. That is true, but that's -- what you're not being told is that has always been true. That has happened in every election cycle we have had since Roe v. Wade. Single women turn out in droves. It's just a matter of the margin. It's -- they are the white evangelicals for the Democratic Party. They are their most loyal voting bloc, go back to the conversation we just had with Bob Vander Plaats. The number one determiner of how you will vote is not race, it's not socioeconomic status, it's whether you're married. It's your marital status. The more single you are, the more likely regardless of race, creed, or color you are to vote Democrat, and the less single you are, the more likely you are to vote Republican. Fact. Number one determiner of how you will vote is singleness. Single women have always been this level of supporter for the Democrats, every single time. That's never changed.
