Tucker Carlson promotes his revisionist January 6 special by interviewing a writer who called a DC police officer a crisis actor

Fox Nation and Tucker Carlson have released chapter one of their three-part attempt to distill nearly a year of revisionism, contradiction, and conspiracy theories surrounding the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol into one sound effect-heavy subscriber special. Episode one of Patriot Purge comes off as an InfoWars-style attempt to deflect responsibility for the Capitol riot onto anyone but the organizers and participants.

As part of Carlson and Fox’s attempts to entice viewers into subscribing to Fox Nation for access to the series, Carlson released an interview with Julie Kelly on his daytime show Tucker Carlson Today. Kelly, a writer for pro-Trump website American Greatness and a frequent Fox guest, has been an integral figure in spreading conspiracy theories and conjecture regarding the events of January 6.

In July, Kelly called D.C. police officer Michael Fanone a “crisis actor” after he testified to Congress’ January 6 select committee about his and his colleagues' experiences during the storming of the Capitol.

During yesterday’s interview, Carlson and Kelly attacked deceased Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick, with Carlson calling his funeral services “fake” and a “political weapon.”

JULIE KELLY (GUEST): Yes it did

 

CARLSON: And it implies no disrespect for Officer Sicknick or his sad death to note that his passing was used as a political weapon by the left.

 

KELLY: It created so many optics right after the New York Times published that article. So you had a procession of police cars through Washington D.C., silence throughout Washington D.C., as they're carrying his body. And then of course he lied in state for two days. He was eulogized by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Joe Biden and Jill Biden showed up to give their respects, you could see Joe Biden walking away shaking his head. He's then transported in another formal ceremony to Arlington National Cemetery where he's buried. So these are all the optics that were created in February. So then they pivot to --

 

CARLSON: This just all a manufactured-- it's all fake.

 

KELLY: Completely fabricated yes. And they were all in on it.

Kelly also claimed that the wants would “round up every single American who voted for Donald Trump” if it could and is using January 6 as a proxy to punish Trump voters.
