ED HENRY (GUEST CO-HOST): First, it was “global warming,” then it was “climate change.” Now, maybe “extreme weather”? The left keeps rolling out new terms but pushing the same agenda. Here with more, radio talk show host Mike Slater. Good morning, good to see you in person.
MIKE SLATER (RADIO TALK SHOW HOST): Good morning, Ed, good to see you.
HENRY: So, why do they keep shifting the language?
SLATER: Because they're not winning the argument. That's what the left does when they don't win the argument; they change the words. So, with immigration, it was “alien” to “illegal immigrant” to “undocumented” and now “DREAMers.” Right? So, same thing with --
HENRY: Who's against dreams?
SLATER: Exactly. Same thing with “global warming,” right? So, first it's “global warming,” which is a hard sell when it is 6 degrees outside. So, then it's “climate change.” So now anything can justify them taking more of your money for government control, but now they broadened it even more to “extreme weather.” Here's my thing with it: There's always been extreme weather. There's been extreme weather since the founding -- beginning of the planet. There's been hurricanes and wildfires and all the rest. There's been extreme weather well before the combustible engine was invented.
HENRY: So, any time there's bad weather, they're going to say, “Ah-ha, we're right.”
SLATER: A hundred percent, that's it -- again, anything to justify taking your money.

SLATER: Here's what I want to know: What's the ideal temperature? What's the perfect temperature, right? Because the left -- they feel that they can fine tune the planet --
HENRY: I like it at about 68.
SLATER: OK, so let's just do a little bit. But, like, honestly, like, what's -- what are we going for? What's the idea? What's the goal? I don't know what their perfect temperature really is, but they feel like they can fine tune it to exactly what they want.

SLATER: They've been saying [the world is about to end] since the '70s, right? One of my favorite lines from Glen Reynolds, he always says, “I will believe it's a crisis when the people who say it's a crisis start acting like it's a crisis,” right? You know, Davos -- people flying in with private jets and all the rest to talk about climate change? Give me a break.
HENRY: Yeah, and when you have these big protests in Washington, where I live, particularly anti-Trump protests -- they've always got trash piled up everywhere. They don't seem to care that much about the environment.
