ED HENRY (GUEST CO-HOST): It's interesting how Democrats have been moving the goal posts. It started with, “We have evidence,” not that we think there might be conclusion (sic), but we have evidence of collusion with Russia, that's [Rep.] Adam Schiff, [Rep.] Eric Swalwell, others. They don't have that so then they say, “Well, we think there's obstruction of justice.” Actually, Robert Mueller says, “I didn't come to a conclusion. I can argue there is evidence on each side,” he essentially said, according to [Attorney General] William Barr in the summary. Then they say, “Well there's a cover-up because William Barr has been sitting on the report and wants to do these redactions.” He says “no, no, no. That's not the case I'll testify before Congress.” He testifies before Congress and says I'll it out by mid-April. Now here we are in mid-April, people are getting the report, a redacted version, and [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer and [Speaker of the House] Nancy Pelosi this morning seem to be moving the goal posts again saying that's still not good enough.
AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): You're right, you're right. Now they are asking for Mueller to testify. And listen to how they framed this statement: “We believe the only way begin to restoring public trust in the handling of the special counsel's investigation is for special counsel Mueller himself to provide public testimony.” But they also go on to talk about how AG Barr is partisan, he's slanted, irresponsible testimony, indefensible plan to spin the report in the press conference later this morning even though that press conference hasn't even happened.
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): Yeah, one of the big controversies I guess from the White House perspective is there will be a mass of details, according to, I think, Jonathan Swan a great reporter on Axios of the president unloading on about Mueller, about [Jeff] Sessions, about Rod Rosenstein to, I guess, [former White House Counsel] Don McGahn and others. I have news for you, we all heard it. We have seen it, we've interviewed him. We've read his Twitter feed. He's doing it non-stop in front of the public eye which might have made it challenging for Robert Mueller to figure out, is these (sic) the rantings of an innocent man or is somebody trying to manipulate me. And Robert Mueller's answer is obviously no one is manipulating him.
