Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) recently forwarded a message to his congressional email list from a right-wing commentator who stated that the country will suffer “if America replaces its existing population with foreigners who are more violent or less capable” and that “diversity isn’t America’s strength.” Gosar has also been using his list to promote a white nationalist website which warns that Haitians are purportedly “coming here to invade our country.”
Gosar has a long history of promoting white nationalist and other extremist content. In November, he was censured and stripped of his committee assignments after he tweeted an anime video of him killing Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and swinging swords at President Joe Biden.
In a January 9 email sent from his House of Representatives office, Gosar shared “A Message from Stew Peters and Red Voice Media.” Peters is a right-wing conspiracy theorist who hosts an online program that counts Gosar as a repeat guest.
The message states, in part, “If America replaces its existing population with foreigners who are more violent or less capable, then this country will suffer,” and “Diversity isn’t America’s strength, and if managed incorrectly, it can actually be its crippling weakness.” The message concluded that the American people “deserve to be protected from a globalist elite that hates them and wants them humiliated or destroyed and replaced or dead.”
