Bob Woodward, the legendary Washington Post journalist and Watergate reporter who has penned four books on the presidency of George W. Bush, is planning to release his first book on President Barack Obama in September, according to The New York Times.

The Times reports today: “The book will be released by Simon & Schuster, Mr. Woodward's longtime publisher. Tracey Guest, a spokeswoman for the publisher, said she had no information about the contents, and that the book did not yet have a title. Mr. Woodward, whose reporting with Carl Bernstein on Watergate first brought him prominence, is one of the few writers in recent years whose political books have consistently altered the talking points in Washington."

Expect some controversy no matter what it reveals.
