The Drudge Report highlighted Vice President Joe Biden's prediction that Democrats “will be hit with a GOP blitzkrieg” of attacks to falsely claim he was “compar[ing] Republicans to Nazis.” But Republicans and conservative media have often made use of the word “blitzkrieg” in a political context, including in attacks on President Obama and Democrats.

Drudge: Biden statement that Dems “will be hit with a GOP blitzkrieg” was a Nazi comparison
Biden warned of “GOP blitzkrieg” in fundraising email. The New York Daily News reported on June 30 that in a fundraising email sent by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, Biden stated, “As things heat up, you can expect House Democrats will be hit with a GOP blitzkrieg of vicious Swift-Boat-style attack ads, Karl Rove-inspired knockout tactics, thinly veiled attempts at character assassination and tea party disruptions.”
Drudge: “Biden Compares Republicans to Nazis.” In a June 30 headline, The Drudge Report linked to the Daily News story with the headline, “Biden Compares Republicans to Nazis.”

Fox's Cameron: Democratic primary candidates unleashed “a blitzkrieg on the air.” On the August 7, 2006, edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, Carl Cameron, now Fox's chief political correspondent, reported of the Democratic primary between Sen. Joe Lieberman and Ned Lamont:
Lieberman told us today that he will continue his run as an independent in the general election should he leave tomorrow. On the air, he has admitted that he almost was overly defensive of late and not offensive enough at sort of trying to counter the labeling that Lamont put on him as to close to President Bush. That has been a blitzkrieg on the air. Here is a sampling of the ads back and forth, with Lamont going after Lieberman, quite literally morphing him into George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
Rep. Bachmann: Dems “on a blitzkrieg path.” In a July 20, 2009, speech on the House floor, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said:
Mr. Speaker, I thank the gentleman from Iowa for this moment just to be able to speak about what is happening here in Washington, D.C. I don't think anyone has ever seen anything like what we have seen in the recent months, and we can even trace it back to last fall when the Democratic Congress could not wait to get passed the TARP funding bill together with the former Bush administration.
They were in a hurry, just like the gentleman from Iowa has stated. We are seeing that this is a Congress that is in a hurry, in a hurry because they have got an agenda. They are on a steamroller path. They are on a blitzkrieg path. They have to get everything done yesterday. We can't have time to read bills. We can't take time to truly count the costs, because we are in a hurry. There is an agenda that has to be performed.
Fox's Cavuto: Obama administration pushed “blitzkrieg of programs.” From the January 26 edition of Fox News' Your World (retrieved from Nexis):
NEIL CAVUTO (host): Now, you had said early on, Meg, that this multi-approach that the administration took was just -- whatever value there was in addressing health care just was muddied in just this blitzkrieg of programs, right? What would you have done?
MEG WHITMAN (California Senate candidate): Well, I'm a big believer in focus, especially given the times in which we live and how complicated things have become.
Weekly Standard: “The Democrats' growing debt blitzkrieg.” In a May 20 Weekly Standard column, Gary Andres wrote, “The Democrats' growing debt blitzkrieg is also at odds with how American households are responding to the current economic situation.”
National Review's Hanson referenced “the Obama hope-and-change blitzkrieg.” In a January 20 National Review column, Victor Davis Hanson wrote: “If a liberal senatorial candidate can be defeated in Massachusetts, eleven months after the Obama hope-and-change blitzkrieg, it is hard to believe that any liberal seat is necessarily safe anywhere.
Chuck Norris referred to ”Obama's blitzkrieg." Chuck Norris wrote in his July 27, 2009, WorldNetDaily column:
Just like they did with the stimulus packages and bogus bailout boloney, Obamacare is being shoved down America's throat (without explanation) and propelled like a ramrod through Congress (without examination). I call it the Obama's blitzkrieg: create crisis, crunch numbers and cram legislation.
WND's Hedgecock: Obama leading “blitzkrieg against the Constitution.” From Roger Hedgecock's April 27, 2009, WorldNetDaily column:
Obama's blitzkrieg against the Constitution has broadened to include an assault on talk radio and the Internet to silence radio critics and growing opposition organized on the Internet from the tea party movement.
NewsBusters cited NBC's “Global Warming Propaganda Blitzkrieg.” In an Oct. 17, 2007, NewsBusters post headlined “Get Ready for NBC's Weeklong Global Warming Propaganda Blitzkrieg,” Noel Sheppard wrote:
Just when you thought it was safe to turn on an NBC-owned station, the network is getting ready to bombard citizens with a weeklong manmade global warming propaganda blitzkrieg that's destined to make Nobel Laureate Al Gore and his Norwegian sycophants smile like a polar bear that's just bagged a juicy seal.
Big Journalism accused Media Matters of leading “blitzkrieg” against O'Keefe. In a May 31 BigJournalism post defending right-wing filmmaker James O'Keefe, Christian Hartsock wrote: “Alongside Keith Olbermann, David Shuster, Rachel Maddow and Chris Matthews of the maligning, gossiping MSNBC sewing circle, Media Matters for America was the loudest in its defamation blitzkrieg against James.”
