CHARLES PAYNE (HOST): Paul Ryan told House Republicans that he will hold a vote next week on a bill that would block suspected terrorists from buying guns. Now, it's not exactly clear on which version of the bill is going to be voted on. but of course this comes just a week after Democrats launched a 25-hour sit-in on the House Floor.

Kelly, everyone said that the Democrats are like spoiled brats, and you know, sort of using the legacy of the civil rights movement to ironically perhaps take rights from Americans. It look like Paul Ryan blinked.

KELLY RIDDELL: Yeah, you know, spoiled brats sometimes get their way.

PAYNE: Squeaky Will.

RIDDELL: Yeah, exactly. Exactly, you know, this is a total capitulation on the GOP's front, but we're used to it, right? We have both the House and the Senate, but yet we're going to pass a Democratic bill moving forward, because, you know, the Democrats whined and cried about it.

[...]

PAYNE: There is no doubt it feels awkward at the very least.

RIDDELL: It does.

PAYNE: And it feels for a lot of Republicans, if feels -- you know, like Paul Ryan is being a traitor to the party.
