MOLLIE HEMINGWAY: The biggest problem facing low -- the biggest food-related problem facing low-income Americans is actually not hunger, it's obesity. And a lot of that is related to this so-called nutritional program which has people buying things that are not exactly the healthiest for them.

Again, poor people are -- they rate very low on healthy eating indexes, and this is something that if Americans care about the health of low income Americans, they should care about this. And people on these programs tend to eat a lot of cookies, candies, sugary snacks, and not enough fresh vegetables and whole grains.
