You might recall that late last week, Fox host Chris Wallace appeared on Shephard Smith's show while the host went off on the fact that a bill designed to aid emergency first responders from the Sept. 11 terror attacks who are suffering from respiratory disease had been voted down. (Smith though, never explained it was filibustering Republicans who killed the bill.)
In fact, Wallace himself said it was a “national shame” that the bill hadn't passed, and seemed to sign off with Smith's contention that the sad situation was a “disgrace.”
But on Sunday, Wallace seemed to have a change of heart. Interviewed on Fox News again about the topic, Wallace no longer suggested it was a “national shame” that the 9-11 first responders bill hadn't passed. Instead, Wallace adopted much more of a gee, on-the-one-hand-this-on-the-other-hand-that approach to the debate:
I wonder why Wallace had a change of heart.
