From the August 7 edition of Fox News' Hardball with Chris Matthews:

ADAM SERWER: Well, Fox News airs segments on how white supremacy doesn't exist in between segments on the Hispanic invasion and the gypsy menace. So other than the white supremacists who praise this guy to the sky, I'm not sure why anybody should be taking his perspective on this particular matter very seriously.

CHRIS MATTHEWS (HOST): Well, who is he talking to? Somebody. His ratings are high. People are listening.

SERWER: Well, that's right. Fox News's rating strategy is making white people scared and angry. The Republican Party's political strategy is making white people scared and angry. The president's reelection strategy is making white people scared and angry, which is why all these condemnations of white supremacy are basically meaningless, because that's the strategy that they're going to pursue no matter what.
