Trump: Fox News people helped write my jokes for the Al Smith dinner

Trump: “They wrote some jokes, and for the most part, I didn't like any of them”

Update: Washington Post reporter Jeremy Barr reports that Fox News issued a statement — in the few hours since Trump made the remark — claiming that the network “confirmed that no employee or freelancer” wrote jokes for Trump's speech.

Fox News says in a statement it's not true: “Fox News confirmed that no employee or freelancer wrote the jokes.” https://t.co/zjjL5M9Vt0

STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): Your material was real funny, who wrote it? Who helped you with it?

DONALD TRUMP (FORMER PRESIDENT): Well, I've had a lot of people helping, a lot of people, a couple of people from Fox — actually, I shouldn't say that. But they wrote some jokes, and for the most part, I didn't like any of them.
