Lara Trump is still touting QAnon conspiracy theorist Scott Presler for an RNC job

After NBC News reported the RNC would not be hiring Presler, Lara Trump said, “I'm calling Scott, and I'm going to say, Scott, I want you as part of the team”

Lara Trump is still touting QAnon conspiracy theorist Scott Presler for a job at the Republican National Committee, despite a report earlier this week that he was not being considered.

On March 14, Trump, who is now heading the committee, told right-wing podcast host Benny Johnson that she wanted to hire Presler for a job in “our legal ballot harvesting division.” Five days later, NBC News reported Presler would not be hired.

In a video posted to her Rumble page on March 20, Lara Trump said she would ask him to be “part of the team” to help with “the largest legal ballot harvesting operation in the entire country,” which will be “started by the RNC.”

Presler has promoted the QAnon conspiracy theory dozens of times on Instagram and was on the U.S. Capitol grounds during the January 6, 2021, insurrection. Additionally, Presler has worked for Act for America, an organization that the Southern Poverty Law Center has described as an “anti-Muslim hate group." He was previously linked to lewd photos posted to Craigslist allegedly taken in an RNC office in 2016.

LARA TRUMP (HOST): And I can tell you one of the first things that I'm going to personally do is call a guy named Scott Presler. And people who know this name, I talk about him a lot because I've always been very impressed with him just as an individual. This is one guy who probably has single-handedly registered more voters in this country than you and I can even imagine. And because of that, that energy, I'm trying to tap into that, and I need people like that out there. So I'm calling Scott, and I'm going to say, Scott, I want you as part of the team. Voter registration in a lot of places is already done. We've already registered tons of voters.

However, what do we need to do now? Now we need to look towards when people actually start voting and early voting in the fall, how do we get their ballots? How do we capture huge groups of people who might be gathered together and capitalize on that if they are indeed likely voting Republican. Someone like Scott Presler is exactly what we need out there. So I'm going to call him and ask him to participate in the largest legal ballot harvesting operation in the entire country, and it'll be started by the RNC.
