TIFFANY CROSS (HOST): We do want to mark the passing of one of our favorite guests. You may have heard this week that media critic Eric Boehlert was a passionate voice against right-wing extremism and hypocrisy in the media. And through his work with outlets like Media Matters, Salon, and his own newsletter Press Run, which I loved reading, he challenged those trying to poison our public discourse.
Eric died this week after being hit by a train while cycling, and we want to send our deepest condolences to his wife Tracy Breslin and their two children, Jane and Ben. We loved having Eric on. Hillary Clinton was among the luminaries paying tribute, tweeting that she will miss his work to counteract misinformation and media bias. So will we all.
