You have to love The Onion, which gave The Boston Globe a friendly hit via its Onion News Network for its declining readership, reporting that the paper has only three readers -- but is tailoring its content to meet the needs of the trio.
For instance, the size is smaller because one of the readers, Michael, likes to read it on the train.
It also tweaks the Chicago Tribune and The Washington Post.
Globe spokesman Robert Powers showed a sense of humor, telling The Boston Herald, “It's a funny spoof about major metro newspapers.”
