In case you missed this from Fox News last night, here's Newt Gingrich announcing that Obama's election in 2008 was an “accident.”

What a strange rhetorical strategy for Fox News and the right-wing to take.

Not only does the GOP Noise Machine actively root for bad news for America (We didn't get the Olympics? Awesome!!). And not only does it specifically seem to hope for high unemployment numbers and a crumbling economy in order to score political points against Obama.

But now we have Gingrich contemptuously announcing that American voters were somehow tricked into voting for Obama. That tens of millions of rubes nationwide weren't smart enough to vote a Republican into office and accidentally voted for a Democrat.
