MELISSA FRANCIS (GUEST HOST): The response from Democrats, as they condemn him, has been the same sort of heat and profanity, and things that we haven't seen in recent politics.

ALEXANDRA WILKES (ATTORNEY): Yeah, I mean look, I think that what the Democrats are doing here -- they are guilty of the same rhetoric that they claim that the president misuses. The rhetoric following these shootings, with respect to the president, basically calling him -- not even insinuating anymore, but calling him a white supremacist, was just -- it was unhinged from some of these Democrats and from a lot of the media too. So I think that these Democrats are just not meeting the moment here, they're trying to out-do each other for who can be the most left, who can attack the president the most. I think that's why you're seeing former vice president Joe Biden give a speech today, because he's trying to set himself up as a contrast. I don't think that that's particularly appropriate when you have the president visiting the scenes of these tragedies, not as a political measure, but as president of the United States to offer a healing hand.

FRANCIS: Yeah, and for most Americans, it would just cause them to tune out in disgust, I think. On both sides. Tough time.
