Limbaugh was responding to a segment between Contessa Brewer and radio host John Ziegler over comments David Letterman made about Sarah Palin and her daughter. Letterman said: “One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.” He also said - in the “Top Ten Highlights of Sarah Palin's Trip to New York” -- that Palin "[b]ought makeup from Bloomingdale's to update her 'slutty flight attendant' look."

LIMBAUGH: Now, here is -- here is -- here's a woman [Brewer] who just got through saying, “It's no big deal. She's a public figure. Call her a slut. Call her slutty. Talk about her daughter being knocked up by Alex Rodriquez. No big deal. She's a public figure.” And she ends up saying, “I don't appreciate these insults. I don't appreciate these insults. These insults are mean. I don't appreciate these insults.” Oh, god -- glittering jewel of colossal ignorance. They all are.

LIMBAUGH: Hey, folks, did you hear this? The other night during the first feed of the Chris Matthews show, he, during a commercial break, knocked up Contessa Brewer? You hear about that? The slutty Contessa Brewer -- Chris Matthews knocked her up. That's exactly right -- during a commercial break during Hardball. He could have done it during the program and nobody would have seen it, but they still thought to be safe about it during the commercial break.
